Default The bots are back in town.

For those amused by botwatching, go to Augury Rock, international district, and watch the repetitive waterfall of Mo/W's out the west exit, and the salesbots spamming in chat.

For the first time there's now a significant number of bots in the european districts as well - we've been relatively spared bots, and still it's not as bad as in the international district.

Well you can't be so quick to point and say bot all the time. There really are actual people in Augury Rock in their farming characters that don't exactly stop to say pip pip cheerio to every character they pass. Hell I'm guilty of farming out there once in a while when I want a few plat in little time >.>

Geeez, another bit of bot paranoi. Here i am... thinking that would have been put to rest finally. But well...
I'm pretty sure only one or two folks out of this armada are actually botting. The rest are just honest farmers. But hell, going all paranoid and screaming "BOTSSSS BOTZ BOTZ!!!!!!" is the best way to get an area nerfed. So might i ask the question if this is your intention? Getting it nerfed? Because that is all your whine-post will do.

Wow, this is no exaggeration. It really is a continuous flow out the exit by Mo/W and W/Mo.

I am just getting annoyed at the "Welcome to xxxxxwebaddressbullshit get 100K for $9.99" spammers with random combinations of d ,s ,w, and f littering the competition arena areas as well. I would figure those people would plant their spammers in an area where people would want cash in the pve areas instead of the pvp areas.

I think the term "bot" is being used a bit loosely here. I'd think this is more "sweatshop Chinese farming" activity than Bots, but the results are the same. It's also interesting that it's occuring in the Intl districts. The SSCF players were probably told to stop doing it so blatantly out of US districts so it doesn't get discovered as quickly and reported to a-net.

Just report the dang things to A.net and let them decide, they're actively pursuing botters and these whatever you want to call them. It's a continuing process and A.net does not want them in the game, whether they be true bots or "sweatshop" farmers, it's against the EULA/CoC.

I was interested in buying some max gold bows from some Asians in LA. He said they were 5k each.
I bought all of them off him and was immediately mobbed by a whole gang of desperate sweatshop workers...word of mouth travels very fast!

I offered 5k for a max gold stormbow 15>50% but he wasn't falling for it.

Weird thing was, all of the bows were totally rubbish. 15<50%, one mod, 12% enchanted, while hexed, vs hexed, etc.
I spent 95 plat and the best item was a "composite bow of defense" 12>50%. I even had to put my own string on it!

Bots or sweatshop workers....i will never buy unidentified again.

I'm not a harsh person at all.

Earlier in Ascalon city....

Some guy: Can anyone tell me where the best place for me to farm is? I'm level 11.

Me: Try the Charr. You can get Charr hides that can sell for good money.

Some guy: Awesome thanks.

Me: Why do you need money?

Some guy: I need to buy Droknars armour. I'm saving up but it's really slow.

Me: Come to storage.

[You traded some guy 15 platinum]

Some guy: Thank you sooo much!

Me: Just remember me when it seems like this game is full of nasty people.

There were no non-W/Mo or Mo/W's there besides me. There had to be around 100 people there too, with the steady stream out. ANET... fix this, or I'm gonna seriously take on China's computer network 1v1.

Hey I'm one of the W/Mo's that constantly run out, map back, merchant, run out again.
Might stop that for a while or I might somehow be mislabeled a 'bot' by the good guys at Anet for doing something so repetitive.
